Representative Charles Byrne has an extensive background in computer skills, education as well as Labor; Charles has spent considerable time as a member and organizer with graduate student unions.
In 2024 Representative Byrne applied for and was hired into an open Union Representative position and has since moved quickly through his initial assignments acclimating to the Private Sector Union movement and the industries represented at UFCW Local 2013.
Charles brings compassionate interpersonal skills to his approach to advocating for the members that are well received and appreciated by them. He also demonstrates quiet but firm confidence in dealing with employers that assures he can work through Labor – Management interactions and issues to resolve them at the lowest level possible, in order to assure a positive and appropriate outcome.
